I made a one-word New Year resolution in 2008: Write. Writing without publishing is an interesting curiosity of limited value, so this blog is a personal force for good. I think about writing more than I write.

Nudge means to push slightly or gently, to get someone’s attention, to prod someone into action. Our cultural conversation is certainly being nudged by urgent global issues, especially planetary repair. My goal is to contribute to that conversation.

The other meaning of nudge, pronounced ‘noodge’, means to annoy with persistent complaints, criticisms, or pleas; to nag, whine or carp. This is unhelpful. I pledge not to go there.

Brilliant acronym, brilliant mind. Keep up the incisive insight.
